Kingfisher cottage is a barn conversion dating from the 1980’s in line with the main dwelling Lew Barn. It is provided with a conservatory which is south east facing and catches the early morning sun providing a lovely place to sit and enjoy your breakfast whatever the weather. Kingfisher cottage is securely positioned within the grounds of Lew Barn, where we offer a friendly bed and breakfast accommodation. The cottage is pet friendly normally to a maximum of two dogs reasonably sized (just ask).

Kingfisher cottage accommodation is arranged over two floors the cottage enjoys a light and airy living space in the form of a lounge dining area with an open plan kitchen at one end, door and step to conservatory. There is a cloakroom on the ground floor with toilet and washbasin.  The first floor consist of a bedroom kitted out with a king sized bed and en-suite bathroom with large double ended bath with hand shower, washbasin and toilet. The bedroom has unrestricted view over the grounds. Heating in the cottage is provided via a multi fuel log burner in the lounge as well as individual electric heating in each room. The kitchen area is equipped with a multi function microwave /convection oven and grill, a two ring Halogen ceramic hob, washing machine, fridge freezer, Iron and ironing board. The garden is in two sections a patio area which catches the sun most of the day and a lawn area surrounded by a wooden fence providing a secure area for your pets and privacy from the rest of the property. Bed linen and towels are provided. A maximum of two well behaved dogs welcome free of charge by prior arrangement. There is a private allocated parking space next to the cottage. Guests are free to wander through 1.5 acres of meadows and through a gated access to the lake, rich with flora and fauna. There is a picnic area overlooking the lakes. An outdoor day kennel is available and can be booked through us during your stay.


The village of Bradworthy lies within easy reach of the spectacular North Devon coastline and is just three miles from the Cornwall/Devon border. For those who are looking to unwind and recharge from the rigors of modern living there is no better destination. Devon is rich in tradition, farmers markets and country inns offering some of the finest home-grown produce and of course those delicious cream teas that the area is so famous for. Not forgetting those of you who are more active or adventurous, there are the many sites of interest and of course beautiful walks and surfing beaches just a short distance away.

The village of Bradworthy is 1/4 mile walking distance of Brook cottage and boasts the largest village square in the West Country. All your basic essentials can be sourced from the village shops including a butcher, post office, a couple of general stores and most importantly the village inn that has a reputation for good food and beer!
